Lava Mobile officially announces the launch of Yuva 3 Pro, expanding its smartphone lineup
Lava Mobile has officially confirmed the launch date of its highly anticipated smartphone, the Yuva 3 Pro, in India. Through a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the company unveiled a teaser video that not only announced the launch date but also provided a sneak peek into the complete design of the device. Scheduled to debut on December 14, the smartphone is set to be a successor to the previous Lava Yuva 2 Pro in February 2023.
The teaser video shared on Lava’s official account showcases the Yuva 3 Pro in a striking Gold color option. The device boasts a dual rear camera setup, complete with an integrated LED flash within the camera island. Lava’s branding is elegantly displayed in vertical text on the bottom left side of the phone, while the right side houses the power button and volume rockers.
Leading up to the official reveal, prominent tipster Paras Guglani took to X to spill the beans on the Yuva 3 Pro’s specifications. Guglani confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will continue to offer 4G connectivity, maintaining continuity with its predecessor. Additionally, the tipster shared key details about the pricing, design, and internal features of the device.
As per Guglani’s leaks, Lava is expected to position the Yuva 3 Pro as a budget-friendly offering, with the base variant likely priced at Rs 10,999 or even lower. The smartphone is anticipated to feature a 6.5-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, boasting a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch hole to house the selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Yuva 3 Pro is powered by a UNISOC T616 chipset, constructed on a 12nm process. This chipset, known for its efficiency in budget smartphones, comprises two Cortex A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, six Cortex A55 cores at 1.8GHz, and a Mali G57 MP1 GPU. The device is expected to come with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, complemented by support for virtual RAM extension up to 8 GB.
Highlighting its performance, the Yuva 3 Pro reportedly scored over 2,80,000 points on the AnTuTu V10 benchmark website. Running on Android 13 straight out of the box, the smartphone is equipped with a dual rear camera setup featuring a 13MP primary sensor with autofocus and 1080p@30fps video recording capability.
The front camera, housed within the punch hole, is an 8MP snapper with video recording capabilities comparable to the rear camera. Lava has incorporated a robust 5000mAh battery to power the Yuva 3 Pro, supported by 18W fast wired charging through a USB Type C 2.0 port located at the bottom alongside the speaker grille.
In terms of security, the smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports face unlock for added convenience. To ensure the safety of the device, Lava will include a TPU case in the box, offering users immediate protection upon unboxing.
With the confirmed launch date just around the corner, Lava’s Yuva 3 Pro is poised to make a significant impact in the budget smartphone segment, combining sleek design, robust specifications, and an affordable price point.
