Samsung Galaxy A55 with Exynos 1480 SoC Spotted on Geekbench

The Samsung Galaxy A55 is expected to be a mid-range smartphone with a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD and a 50MP quad-camera setup.

The Galaxy A55 will be powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, which is a successor to the Exynos 1380 and features an octa-core CPU and an AMD GPU.

The Exynos 1480 chipset has appeared on Geekbench, where it scored 882 in single-core and 2808 in multi-core tests, showing a moderate improvement over the Exynos 1380.

The Exynos 1480 chipset also boasts the Xclipse 530 GPU, which uses AMD RDNA 2 graphics technology, similar to the flagship Exynos 2200 that powers the Galaxy S23 series.

The Exynos 1480 chipset with AMD graphics is expected to offer better performance and efficiency for gaming and multimedia applications on the Galaxy A55 and other A-series phones.
