IBM Drops X Ads After Musk's White Pride Tweet

IBM, one of the world's largest technology companies, has decided to stop advertising on X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, after he tweeted his support for white pride.

"White pride is not hate. It is love for our heritage and culture. #WhitePrideWorldWide".

The tweet sparked a backlash from many users, activists, and organizations, who accused Musk of promoting racism, bigotry, and white supremacy.

IBM, which had been running ads for its cloud computing and artificial intelligence services on X, announced on October 5, 2023.

IBM said in a statement that it was "deeply disturbed" by Musk's tweet and that it did not align with its values of diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility.
