Upcoming Google features: Maps chatbot, Chrome's tab memory usage, etc.

Google is introducing upgrades, including generative AI features for YouTube and Gmail, and more enhancements planned for Maps, Gmail, and Chrome.

Chrome now displays memory consumption for each tab when hovered over, making it easier for users to monitor tab memory usage.

Gmail is anticipated to have an instant messaging-like feature that includes a message box at the bottom of email windows for quicker replies and file attachments.

Google Maps may also see the introduction of a chatbot with conversational features, though it's unclear if it will involve generative AI or serve specific programs like Local Guide.

These new Gmail features are currently in a server-side test but have not yet been introduced in the beta version of the app
