Chrome Adds Proactive Safety Check to Desktop Version
Chrome's Safety Check feature allows users to quickly confirm the security and privacy of their browsing experience in Chrome.
Safety Check searches for compromised passwords, harmful extensions, outdated Chrome versions, and unsafe browsing settings, and guides on how to fix any issues.
Safety Check also includes a new HTTPS-First mode, which tries to load all sites over a secure connection and warns users before visiting sites that don't support HTTPS.
Safety Check is part of Chrome's efforts to provide more intuitive and accessible privacy and security controls, with simplified language and visuals.
Safety Check is available now on Chrome desktop, and can be accessed from the Privacy and Security section in Chrome settings.
